Advertising

The SA Paddler magazine reaches a lucrative, niched market of approximately 7000 subscribers 6 times a year. In a sport with limited media coverage, it provides valuable and vital information on the sport. Paddlers are outdoor adventure enthusiasts who have a high regard for healthy living and an active lifestyle. They take part in a number of other sports such as running and mountain-biking, and place a strong emphasis on environmental awareness.

Advertising in the magazine offers the ideal way to tap into this community and build a tight relationship with paddlers and a strong affinity for your brand.

The cover of the latest SA Paddler Magazine June/July 2008 issue.

Packed full of paddling news and info, the cover features a crisp action shot of the ladies K4 of Michele Eray, Carol Joyce, Nikki Mocke and Jen Hodson in full flight at Nagle Dam. The team, along with Shaun Rubenstein, Calvin Mokoto and Bridgitte Hartley is locked in competition in Europe throughout June, racing in 3 World Cups in Hungary, Germany and Poland. As a buildup to the Olympic Games in Beijing in August, we profile eachmember of the Olympic squad, including the three slalom paddlers Master Cele, Cameron McIntosh and Cyprian Ngidi, as well as coaches Nandor Almasi and Jean-Jerome Perrin.

We also review all the action from the SA Sprint season including the pivotal SA Sprint Trial, the SA Sprint Champioships regatta and the SA Schools Sprints.

There's also a story of madness or Trevor Ball and Ugene Nel who descended the Breede from source to mouth at the end of summer - as dry as can be. Epworth's paddle around the island of Mauritius is also featured, along with the massive Molokai crossing - the unofficial World Championships of surfski paddling.

Other titbits include an article on the Mozambique ski fishing competition, tips on preparing for long-distance ski racing, a review of the Custom Kayaks Apex double ski and Radar and Evinrude's next crazy adventure.
